So, I have a friend that lived by the "Day-by-Day" motto for awhile. At the time, I thought it was a terrible idea. Why wouldn't you want to think about the future?? Or make plans?? I LOVE making plans! But, plans don't always work out the way you wanted them to. You're not always married by the time you thought you would or have a baby the next year. You don't always land your dream job or have the house you always wished for. Most times, you don't even remember what plans you had for when you turn 25. So, then I got to thinking, maybe that isn't the best way to live...always making plans and thinking about the future. Maybe I need to think more about today and really care about each moment instead of thinking about what comes next. Maybe my friend was onto something.
So, as it stands, I am working on taking things more day-by-day and see what happens. I think it will not be easy...those who know me know...I am a PLANNER!
Something to help me along the way is my favorite bible verse, from the book of Matthew (Chapter 6.34) "Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
So, this will be what I will hold on to and work on living my life day-by-day.
