Summer is officially here this weekend.  Audrey is ready to go with these cool shades. :)

We are going to the lake.  We can hardly wait.  Audrey gets to take her first boat ride!  I think she will love it...I definitely hope she does. We always do.  Grandma & Grandpa have a baby life jacket just waiting to be worn too.
Hope everyone has a fantastic long weekend!  We are so looking forward to it...the sun and the fun.

Grandpa's New Toy

Audrey got to spend the night with Grandma & Grandpa G this weekend while J & I went out for our anniversary.  I am certain we missed her more than she missed us.  Especially when part of her weekend was getting to try out Grandpa's new toy. :)

Teeth

That's right...I said Teeth (plural)  There are TWO teeth in my baby's mouth!!!!!!  I was OK with one last week.  It's just about the right time for that.  However, today, I mentioned to a friend that she had a tooth and my friend wanted to see it and when we went to look...there were TWO!!!  I wouldn't have even known.  I swear I've been looking at the one every day too.  Number two came in overnight!  I'm SO happy to have a happy teether!  But, I am SO NOT happy to see teeth...she can't possibly be big enough for that already. : (  They are incredibly cute teeth though.  ; )  I imagine it won't be long before she gets some on the top and then she's going to start looking old too. :'(  Not only that but I'm still breastfeeding....ouch!

Zoo

Today we had our Second Annual Girlfriends Day at the Zoo.  A bunch of friends from high school with all of our kids met up and spent the day.  It was great!!  The weather ended up being perfect...I even got a little sun! :) We got together last year too...5 of us, 4 kids and 1 on the way.  This year...6 of us, 6 kids and 3 on the way!  The kids range from 5 months to almost 4 years old.  It is so fun to get together with everyone.  Audrey was a little more into the kids than the animals this time around, but she was just very happy to be out all day.

The Zoo has a new Polar Bear exhibit too that I thought was just awesome!  It was a really pretty setting and had an underwater viewing area that was so, so cool.  At first we were not so sure, all you could see were the fish...then the bear dived in right above our heads, surprised most of us and put us in awe.  They are pretty amazing animals.  I will be excited to go back...and bring Jason next time.

Update

Audrey is eating cereal like a pro.  She took to it great!  She was definitely ready for it and seems to really like it.  She would probably lick the bowl clean if she could just figure out how to get her nose out of the way... ;)  It's fun feeding her too.  She might even like those rubber baby spoons as much as I do (as if that were even possible..ha)

Happy Mother's Day

I hope all you Mothers had a wonderful day on Sunday.  I am beyond words on how grateful and lucky I feel to have joined that club.  We had a very nice weekend with J's family.  I got some very nice cards and multiple texts.  Thank you to all of you that thought of me.  I also got an early Mother's Day gift a couple of weeks ago. (It was also an anniversary present) from my wonderful husband.  Here it is...

a Pandora charm bracelet.  I just LOVE it!!  J picked it all out himself too!  He's very good like that. :)

For some reason that I will never really know...I only just got out the highchair last night.  I don't know what I was thinking...it would have been nice to have for her to join us at dinner time or watch me was dishes or unload the dishwasher, etc.  It's SO nice too!  (Thank you Grammy)  Pulled it right out of the box ready to use!  I love it!  And it folds up flat which is so helpful in our tiny dining room.  Audrey really loved it too.
We finally got around to that first feeding after putting it off for about a month.  I feel like we didn't really know what we were doing, but I think she did great for a first time (and we probably did all right too.)  What she really wanted was to feed herself...just like she likes to flip the pages to every book I try to read her.  (I think she is going to be an independent little lady.)  She was almost more into the bowl than the spoon too.  I am of course impressed with her first time eating off a spoon...and it wasn't too messy either.  I say bring on the peas!!  (Just kidding...I'm not rushing this baby...this is just too much fun.)

Sitting

That's right...she's sitting up.  Mostly on her own but still with a little wobble. You can tell she is just trying so hard to stay upright.
