What's Been Happening....

So...
We've been busy. (again)
Two weeks ago, we had quite possibly one of the busiest days.  Here was the plan...

  • 8am Drop off Audrey at the sitter's.
  • 8:30  Meet Home Inspector at our new house.  (Yes, that's right, we're buying a house!!!!)
  • 12:30 Finish home inspection...grab lunch...head to New OB's office for first visit.
  • 1:20  Meet new Dr. (Squeeze in bonus Ultrasound!)
  • 2:30 Meeting with mortgage guy to complete new home loan application.
  • 5:00 Pick up Audrey and head home to rest

Phew.  Big day.

So here's the updates...

  1. We found a house!!  We love it!!  We can hardly wait to move.  It's further north than we originally thought we would go, but we just love it.  We hope to be moving by April which will give us time to settle in before baby.  Did you remember we're having a baby?? :)  Did you want to know what we're having??  Maybe I'll tell you...soon.  Anyway, we are going to have lots more space to stretch out at our new place.  Hopefully you will come visit! The Inspection went well by the way...and the seller has been incredibly agreeable to everything we have asked which has been amazing.
  2. A new Dr. :-/ I LOVED our OB that we had with Audrey.  She was so great and while I have nothing to compare her to, amazing during delivery.  Exactly what I needed from a Doctor.  She moved to a new practice.  I planned to follow, but then...I could never reach anyone in the office.  And, some may know how pregnancy hormones work and I got fed up with it, so we switched.  One day while on hold for 15 minutes, I scheduled with another office and that is where we are going now.  I LOVED it!  The office was beautiful, the Dr and everyone was super nice and I feel incredibly comfortable with my decision. Although, I will miss the old one.  The best part of our visit is we got to see our little peanut...live and in 3D!!!  They squeezed us in for an early ultrasound (18weeks...normal is 20)  So...we got to find out early and unplanned....the peanut....is a HER!!!  ANOTHER GIRL!!!  SO FUN!!  And we get to see her again in 2 more weeks so they can get a better look at her heart (18 weeks is still just too tiny) I promise to try to post pictures of her soon...and maybe a bump shot or two. :)

Is this real life? Sitting on my patio in the sun in barefeet in February??
Yes, its really happening. Maybe the bare feet are a little excessive but I could not resist. God is giving us a reprieve from this long winter and I am taking every opportunity I can to enjoy it. :)

Is there anything cuter than a toddler in a bathrobe?
I think not. :)

3 Christmases

So, I finally, just today, took my first look at all of our Christmas pictures.  And am happy to share a few highlights of our 3 Christmas celebrations. (That is, J's family, my family and our own with just the 3 of us at home.)
#1.
The best part of my family's Christmas is that we all got to be together at Mom and Dad's. All 12 of us.  For an entire weekend. It was wonderful. (see previous post below for some cousin fun and a little Auntly bragging) Here is Audrey having some fun with Grandma and Grandpa. She loved every bit of it.
Especially the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe. We could hardly get her out of it. (See below for pictures)

#2.
The following weekend, we got to head north to spend Christmas for some more family fun.
Here is Audrey really hamming it up with Grammy and Grampa...
Audrey is quite in love with any and all attention that she gets and was in heaven for most of the weekend. She was also quite in love with J's little cousin and readily made herself a new friend.  How cute are these two?
She was also really starting to get the hang of the whole gift opening idea.
And even managed to find some quiet time with Aunt Sheena amongst all the excitement.

#3. Home Again.
Audrey definitely had the gift opening down by the time we had our Christmas with her at home.
Got the proper level of excitement down as well...

And here we are...Audrey's 2nd Christmas over.  It was so wonderful spending so much time with all of our families and just watching Audrey totally take over.  I can't remember a better Christmas than this one.  She is continually such a joy.  We are so in love...and thank God every day for such an amazing gift in this amazing little girl.

I Have a Nephew

And he is Amazing. :-)
We finally all got to meet him at Christmas.
(James, along with my brother and his wife live in Colorado.)
And now I would like to show him off for a moment.
Our first getting to know you moment.
James really loved his Uncle Jason, so he got some amazing pictures of him.

Lots of cousinly bonding. :) Including one very messy lunch.
and learning to share...or not?? :)

So much fun being an aunt!  And I get to get another niece or nephew again this summer!!
Yay for babies!! :)
