Hello everyone!!

We've been busy! Audrey is getting bigger and busier by the minute!  We spent the last couple of weekends with Grandmas and Grandpas, Aunts and Uncles and we have loved every minute of it!  Audrey has been full of smiles (although I can't quite get them on camera just yet - the flash is way too distracting) and always spitting up on those that she REALLY likes. :-P She has been loving her swing and really loving faces and mirrors, fans and lights and most of all...her mama.  Right now, it is 8:45 on Monday night and she is also sound asleep in her crib.  It's the first time for that and so far...she seems quite cozy, so we will see.  8 weeks this Friday already - it's hard to believe.

A Growing Girl

We had our one-month baby check-up today.  And my, how she has grown.  Little Audrey is now 10 pounds 14 ounces and 23 inches long!  (That's the 80-90th percentiles!!)  What a big girl!! : )  She's very smiley these days and is really enjoying her swing too.  Everything on her checked out great and we got some pointers from our Dr on sleeping in her crib...so, we'll be working on that these next couple of weeks. Wish us luck and say a little prayer for me letting her go into her own room.  :-/  I really like our pediatrician - she is really great and Audrey really seems to like her too, so, even better!
We are also currently searching for our babysitter that we will be needing by March.  We are lining up interviews. So, please say a prayer for us.  That we find the right person for Audrey (and us).  Every Mom knows I guess that this can be one of the hardest things.  But, I have all the faith in the world that everything will be great.

We also had our first "playdate" today with our friend's little girl who is 8 months old.  Not so much for Audrey this time as for Mommy.  But, it was good to get out, even in the cold.  Sounds like we're going to be getting a bit of snow tomorrow, so we might be staying in the next couple of days.  It's pretty cozy here though so we don't mind so much. :-D  We are definitely open to visitors though...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!  Hope you have all had a wonderful holiday this year.
The past couple of weeks for us have been wonderful...and busy. Lots of time spent with family for Christmas sharing Audrey and of course, a Rose Bowl game with friends watching the Buckeyes win yesterday.  New Year's Eve was spent at home - somewhat quietly, in between baby-needs anyway. ; )
We had our first traveling "event" for Christmas and spent 3 days with my side.  I do have to say little Audrey did splendidly!  She enjoys the car rides, so that is definitely a bonus for us.  It was also great to have all the helping and baby-holding hands.  We will be heading north for twice the travel time in a few weeks, so hopefully we will be just as lucky then.  Lucky also for us we did get to celebrate Christmas with Jason's family here at home with our then 2-week old.  It was very nice. It was really so great to get to see all of our parents and families with our bundle of joy.  It is wonderful how loved she is.

Unfortunately, she is not so much feeling all the love at bathtime just yet....but, it seems to be getting a little better each time.  Here is the after-effect of the most recent bath.....
