Emma's Eating!

Real food! 6 months old already! It's so hard to believe! This has, without doubt, been the FASTEST 6 months of my life. She got teeth at 4 months. 2 pretty little things on the bottom. Then she started to roll a little, now she is sitting up and eating all kinds of tasty things. Almost all home made too! It's been really fun.
Avocado, banana, sweet potato, peas, carrots, pears, baby rice and oatmeal. This weekend, we are going to start green beans and a got a mango and a squash to mix up some more. I feel so much less stressed about it all this time which is really awesome. I don't know why I was always so worried about it with Audrey. Although, she is a pretty good eater still, so it must of all been ok. :)

Good-Bye "Pyer"

Audrey has had a pacifier (more recently known as "Pyer") since day one in the hospital. She had it only for sleeping and we kept it in her bed 98% of the time. I have no regrets about it. It totally worked for us and for her and when it came down to time to say good-bye, Jason & I were probably quite a bit more attached to that thing than she was. But, I always said..."Only until she's 2." Well, then, after Christmas.
So, once she turned 2...it seemed like the Pyer became a battle. She's only allowed to have it in bed? Well, guess what? She's tired and going to go "lay down" only an hour after getting up. Or she's throwing a screaming fit because she has to leave it. So, we knew it was time. And, man, were we nervous! The day came 2 weeks ago. We were completely prepared for nights of screaming. I had been telling Audrey that when she took the Pyer out of her bed, it could break and would be broken someday. So, that's exactly what happened. One day, close to bedtime, she went and dug it up, and what do you know...half of the tip was gone! She brought it to me...
"Mommy, I broke it." she said.
"Oh, No!" I replied
"But, that's all right, you're big now, you don't need it anymore."
"What should we do about it."
"I throw it in the trash?"
!!!!!!! "Uh, OK!"
And that was it!!! She checked it out a couple of times and told us that it was broken the next day, but not one tear, not one fit, nothing!! I shed more tears over it than she did!

Merry Christmas!!

What a wonderful season it was. So much time we got to spend with family. It was wonderful. A little traveling and a lot of love. Emma clearly more excited than Audrey....haha. At least for picture time that is. It was Baby's First Christmas so I totally get it. :) She's just a happy little thing.

Audrey is 2!!!!!

We can't believe it!!!
We are so very blessed by this sweet, funny girl. Not a day goes by that she's not learning something new or getting a good laugh out of us. This girl talks non-stop and amazes us with the things she catches on to. Her key phrases include "one more time" and "Where did "enter name here" go?" Audrey never misses a thing, we can't fool her for a second with anything. She is smitten with her baby sister and is so sweet to her and also incredibly helpful to Mommy and Daddy whenever we ask her.
Those of you that know her well, may also be aware of how much she loves "Yo Gabba Gabba!" (a show on Nick Jr.) We are not quite sure when it started, but it is just about the only show she shows any interest in at any given point. We sing songs from Gabba daily and watch an episode a day and this girl knows what her favorites are. Some of the favorite songs include "New Friends put a smile on your face...I'm so very happy when they're visiting my place." "Don't Bite Your Friends" and "I'm Sorry" So, of course, we had a Yo Gabba party! Cake, t-shirts, plates and all. She loved it. But, probably not as much as we all love her.
Brobee the Cake!
FYI: That's us wearing Muno, Plex, Foofa & Toodee!

Long Time No Blog....

Time to catch you all up. :)
Last post was...Thanksgiving. It's been exactly 8 weeks and 2 days. If you are reading this...thanks for sticking with me. December was quite the whirlwind. I am starting to feel caught up, but then living gets in the way. Life is good, but, oh so busy. I feel the need to give the last 8 weeks separate entries. So, little by little, day by day, we will catch up.
