We have had two swim lessons so far. First off, the pool we are going to is amazing! They've got a great big slide in the middle, a lazy river with a whirlpool and spa, fountains and little slides and a zero entry edge, so babies can sit and play. It is SO FUN!!
There are about 12-15 babies/moms or dads in the class and we basically sing songs and play games in the water for half an hour. Such as "If you're happy and you know it, Splash the water!" and "Alligator, alligator, you're so tall, alligator, alligator, jump off the wall!" {baby jumps off wall in water} and more! We hang out in the lazy river for awhile and then we have "free" playtime for another 15 minutes or so. The first lesson was good, but Audrey didn't get too into it. This past week, she seemed to have so much more fun. She was splashing around a lot more and kicking those legs like crazy. She really loved the fountain and trying to "catch" the water.
We still haven't made it to our pool at our place, but I did go hang out at a friend's pool for a little bit. The heated pools make a big difference though, but on a hot enough day, she might really like it. I would love for anyone to join us!!
