I was impatient for love...and God brought me Jason. At just the right times in both of our lives. Any earlier, and we may not have been ready.
We were impatient to start a family (although only briefly)...but God blessed us with Audrey. At just the right time and right place. The perfect fit for us.
This time...we didn't even have to ask. God knew it was time for us to grow our family...and here we are. Waiting to hold our second precious gift.
I have been so blessed through both of these pregnancies. No morning sickness, no bedrest, no major complications whatsoever. The babies have been healthy and we grow them big! So, when I now complain that I am still feeling good, that is a WONDERFUL thing. It just means, no labor, which means no baby yet.
So, while I am (now) patiently waiting...I am thankful.
Thankful that I still feel good enough to play with Audrey. And, what a great time we've been having! We have 5 days or less of her having our full attention and we have definitely been taking advantage of it.
Thankful that I still felt good enough to meet my niece and congratulate her parents in person.
Thankful that I can still work (even if I am making some of my patients nervous, not to mention coworkers) ;-)
Thankful that we've had a little more time to "get ready." Everything I can think of is ready to go. I feel like I've done a ton of laundry and our fridge has remained somewhat stocked for the big day.
And Thankful for sleep. Audrey is an amazing sleeper. She is still taking 2 naps every day and sleeps 10 or so hours every night! If only we could bank those hours....
We will be welcoming our second baby girl into our home within the week. It's hard to believe. And hard to imagine how our lives are going to change. Crazier, yes. Busier, I would say so. Richer? Fuller? More than we could have ever imagined or asked for? ABSOLUTELY!
